CHRISTOPHER K. LEONARD practices in the areas of Commercial & Residential Real Estate, Common Interest Communities, Business & Corporate Law, Land Use and Real Estate Development, and Environmental Law.
Mr. Leonard is counsel to numerous real estate developers and over 150 common interest communities throughout Connecticut. He is on the Lawyer’s Council of the Connecticut Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. Mr. Leonard served on the Statewide Drafting Committee, which drafted the 2009 amendments to the Connecticut Common Interest Ownership Act, and he is a contributing author to the “Connecticut Common Interest Ownership Manual, Second Edition” published by the Connecticut Bar Association in 2013.
Mr. Leonard is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Connecticut and is a member of the American, Connecticut, and Greater Danbury Bar Associations. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and he previously served as president of the Greater Danbury Bar Association.
Mr. Leonard is civically active in Ridgefield, Connecticut, where he has lived most of his life. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield and previously served as its president. Mr. Leonard presently resides in Ridgefield with his wife.
