RYAN C. LARIVIERE practices in the areas of Residential and Commercial Real Estate Law as well as Corporate Law including General Corporate Matters, Business Transactions, Securities, Financing, and Dissolution. Clients range from first-time real estate purchasers or entrepreneurial start-up enterprises to larger privately held companies – through each phase of their growth, serving as primary outside counsel. He advises on issues such as the ideal form of organization, ownership and buy-sell agreements, debt and equity financing, and dispute resolution. Beyond the start-up phase, Attorney LaRiviere also advises on business expansion opportunities, such as marketing and licensing agreements, private equity and venture capital financing, and joint ventures. He assists clients with the business and legal aspects of negotiating transactions, enhancing business value, and business succession planning. When clients are acquiring, selling or leasing real estate assets, Attorney LaRiviere will assist with the negotiations as well as structure the optimal form of organization to meet the client’s objectives.
A lifelong resident of New Fairfield, Attorney LaRiviere received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with distinction, summa cum laude, and his accelerated Master of Business Administration in Finance with distinction, summa cum laude, from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He was awarded membership to Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society that recognizes academic excellence, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a national non-profit academic honor society. He received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, with a concentration in Business Law- Financial Service Compliance from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in White Plains, New York.
Attorney LaRiviere’s previous legal experience includes serving as a law clerk for the Village of Port Chester, private equity intern for End of Petroleum, Inc., and as an international tax extern for ITT, Inc, formerly ITT Corporation.
Attorney LaRiviere is a member of the American Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, Fairfield County Bar Association, and Greater Danbury Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut, United States Tax Court, Seminole Nation Tribal Court, and the Mashantucket (Western) Pequot Tribal Court.
