August 2022 – Hillel Goldman recently attended the American Bar Association Business Section’s three day Spring Meeting in Atlanta. Attended by over 1,500 business attorneys worldwide, the Conference is filled with seminars on the latest business law developments and issues, including LLC issues, mergers and acquisitions corporate issues, and privacy issues. Mr. Goldman is a member of the American Bar Association’s LLC Committee and Mergers and Acquisitions Committees.
Hillel Goldman just completed his two year term as Chairman of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Business Law Section. The Business Section holds monthly meetings where top business lawyers from around the state meet and discuss business law issues in Connecticut and Delaware. Additionally, Section meetings provide continuing legal education presented by top Connecticut and Delaware business lawyers. The Business Section drafts business legislation and amendments to existing business statutes. Two recent pieces of legislation drafted by the Business Section are the Connecticut Uniform Limited Liability Company Act and the Connecticut Entity Transactions Act. The Business Section works with the Connecticut Legislature and takes positions on business legislation that it feels are favorable to business law in CT. It also sends representatives to legislative hearings to provide testimony on business legislation.
Hillel Goldman recently joined the Board of the Danbury Police Activities League.
May 2022 – Attorney John J. Bowser has been elected to the Connecticut Bar Association House of Delegates to represent District 4, including the towns of Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Georgetown, Monroe, Newtown, New Fairfield, Redding, Ridgefield and Sherman.
